Exam Maker: Offline Tests respects your privacy. The short version is simple: your exam data never leaves your device.

Last Updated: Jul 1, 2026
Effective: Nov 25, 2025
Version: v3.5.0

We respect your privacy.

This policy explains, in simple words, what Exam Maker: Offline Tests stores and why. Short version: your exam data stays on your device.

01 - Local Data

Data stored only on your device

The app stores the following on your device only:

  • Exam questions and answers you create
  • Saved drafts and local exam progress
  • Student results and scores
  • Poll responses collected on-device
  • App preferences and settings
  • Profile details you enter such as name, roll number, and age range

We do not run user accounts or a server that stores your exam data. We do not have a cloud copy of your exams, results, or student details.

02 - Advertising

Advertising data (free version only)

The free version displays ads via Google AdMob.

We ask for an age range so ads can be handled more safely and appropriately for this device. The app uses these ad settings:

  • 13-17: non-personalized ads with underage protections and teen content limits
  • 18+: personalized ads when consent rules allow it; otherwise the app falls back to non-personalized requests when available

We do not use exam content, answers, student names, roll numbers, or results to choose ads.

Analytics follows the same regional consent rules.

In regions where the consent framework requires it, we ask separately for analytics consent before Firebase Analytics collection starts. Analytics is limited to aggregated app behavior, screen views, and product funnels. We do not use exam content, answers, student names, roll numbers, or results for analytics targeting.

Google Firebase Analytics and its partners may receive technical analytics information such as app opens, screen views, feature usage, device model, OS version, and other coarse app-usage signals.

Ad placements:

  • Student dashboard: banner ads may appear at the top or bottom of the home screen
  • Student joining flow: banner ads may appear on the student information screen before starting an exam
  • Student waiting/submission flow: banner or inline ads may appear while waiting or after submission screens; an interstitial may appear only around waiting/submission completion
  • Student poll/result review screens: banner ads may appear around the screen content
  • Teacher screens: banner ads may appear on teacher dashboard, exam setup, sharing, results, analytics, and draft screens
  • Teacher premium unlocks: optional rewarded ads may appear when a teacher chooses to unlock an export or premium feature without purchasing Premium

Google AdMob and its partners may receive technical ad-related information such as:

  • Device advertising ID (GAID on Android, IDFA on iOS)
  • IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
  • Device model and OS version
  • App usage signals for ad relevance

Premium users: No advertisements. No ad-related data collection through in-app ads.

You can change the saved age range later from app settings.

03 - Third Parties

Third-party services

We use third-party services only for the purposes listed below.

  • Google AdMob - Advertising (free version)
  • Google Firebase Analytics - Aggregated app behavior, screen views, and product funnels
  • Google Play Services - In-app purchases and licensing
  • Nearby Connections - Peer-to-peer exam sharing on supported devices

Nearby sharing is device-to-device and depends on local connection availability and platform limits. If many students submit results at the same time, transfers may complete over multiple connection cycles instead of all at once.

Service reliability and limitation of liability

Exam Maker: Offline Tests operates using local offline peer-to-peer connections. The stability of these connections depends on device hardware, operating system behavior, and the surrounding environment.

The service is provided "as is" and is intended for casual classroom assessments such as daily quizzes, review activities, polls, and practice tests. The developers are not liable for dropped connections, delayed transfers, local data loss, or consequences arising from using the app for high-stakes, official, grade-deciding, or standardized examinations.

04 - Data Removal

No server-side deletion workflow

Because we do not store your exam data on our servers, there is no server-side account deletion or export process.

To remove local app data, clear the app storage, use the in-app delete-data tools where available, or uninstall the app from your device.

05 - Controls

Device-based controls only

  • Buy Premium to remove all ads
  • Edit the saved age range from app settings
  • Review analytics consent and ad privacy options from app settings
  • Clear app data or uninstall the app from your device

06 - Children

Children's privacy

Exam Maker: Offline Tests is intended for users ages 12 and up. The app does not request child-directed ads. For ad handling, the available age settings are 13-17 and 18+. Analytics follows the same regional consent rules and remains off until allowed where required. Exam data is stored locally, and we do not send student exam answers or results to our own servers.

07 - Updates

Policy updates

When significant changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top changes and material changes may trigger an in-app notification. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
