01 · Overview

About QR Studio

QR Studio is an offline-first QR code generator and scanner app. The app generates, customises, and scans QR codes entirely on your device. QR Studio does not send your QR content to a backend server.

The app may include ads served by Google Mobile Ads and optional Pro features available through in-app purchase. This policy explains what data is handled locally, what third-party services may process, and what choices you have.

02 · Local Data

Data stored locally on your device

QR Studio may store the following data locally on your device:

Offline-first design: QR content you enter is processed and stored on your device only. QR Studio does not transmit your QR content to our servers.
03 · QR Generation & Scanning

How QR codes are generated and scanned

QR codes are generated on-device using local processing. The content you encode — such as a URL, phone number, Wi-Fi password, or text — does not leave your device during generation.

When you scan a QR code using the app's camera, the decoded content is displayed on your device. Scanned content is not automatically transmitted to QR Studio or any third party.

Camera permission: Camera access is used solely for scanning QR codes. QR Studio does not use the camera for background recording or surveillance.
04 · Sharing & Saving

Exporting and sharing QR codes

When you export or share a QR code image, the app hands the generated file to the operating system share sheet or saves it to your device gallery if you choose Save. QR Studio does not upload exported QR images to its own server.

If you share a file through another app, cloud service, messaging service, email app, or printing service, that third-party service may process the file according to its own privacy policy.

05 · Advertising

Advertising

The free version of QR Studio may display ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google AdMob and its partners may collect or process data such as:

This data may be used for ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, frequency capping, and related advertising purposes. You can manage ad personalisation through your device settings or Google ad settings where available.

Pro or ad-free option: If you purchase a Pro or ad-free upgrade, in-app ads are removed according to the purchased feature.
06 · Purchases

In-app purchases

QR Studio may offer in-app purchases through Google Play, Apple App Store, or other app-store platforms for Pro features such as advanced customisation, batch generation, or an ad-free experience.

Payment processing is handled entirely by the app-store provider. QR Studio does not receive your full payment card details. QR Studio may receive purchase status or licensing information needed to unlock Pro features on your device.

07 · Permissions

Device permissions

QR Studio may request the following permissions depending on the feature and device platform:

Minimum permissions: QR Studio requests only the permissions needed for the features you use. Camera access is not used for background recording.
08 · Third Parties

Third-party services

QR Studio may use the following third-party services. These services process data according to their own privacy policies.

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
Advertising and ad measurement
Google Play Services
Platform services, purchases, licensing, and app functionality
Apple App Store
Platform services, purchases, and app functionality on iOS if available
09 · Retention

Data retention and deletion

QR content, history, style preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time by:

Data processed by third-party services such as Google AdMob or Google Play is retained according to those services' own policies.

10 · Security

Data security

QR Studio uses platform security features for locally stored data. Data transmitted by third-party services such as Google AdMob uses secure transmission methods provided by those services.

Because QR content is processed and stored on your device, you are responsible for protecting your device with a screen lock, password, or other device security controls.

No system is perfect: No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we aim to use reasonable safeguards appropriate for the app's design.
